The final of three collaborations with artist Susan Bee, this book was inspired by a visit to her studio in 2019 where I first saw the light, whimsical drawings. I suggested they needed something equally whimsical in tone to accompany them and wrote this series of fairy tales. I had hoped to work in the somewhat dark spirit of Oscar Wilde as well as the esteemed tradition of other famous tales. This was great fun to write and design and is meant to amuse persons of all ages whether they are reading or being read to by another.
